>>Is it a problem of plugin?

I'm not sure. "Aspect ratio crop" seems to be a core digiKam tool. However, I didn't try 0.9.2 yet (now I use 0.9.1 from Kubuntu). I recommend to address your question to digiKam developers community (<a href="http://www.digikam.org/?q=support" rel="nofollow">http://www.digikam.org/?q=support</a>).

I have installed in slackware 12.0 digikam 0.92.
In Viewfoto I cannot crop images because the crop tool is missing or better it shows but it is not usable.
I have the same problem in Gimp 2.2 that comes shipped with slackware.
However in gimp I can use the crop and resize tool.
Is it a problem of plugin?
With Mandriva it was working
